Procurement Specialist


Job Purpose:

• To procure the goods and services required to run the business in coordination with various departments by taking responsibility for implementing cost-cutting measures with an efficient purchasing system and negotiating competitive pricing, obtaining quality products and assuring timely delivery through proper Supplier selection and management.


Job Responsibilities:



• Managing supplier / contractor relationships as per the company Policies.

• Liaising with Project Managers/ concerned department heads for detailed specification on the approved PR’s and projects to be completed.

• Ensuring that EES has signed up with the best Outsource Hiring Partners in conjunction with HR Manager. Comparing quotes between agencies and selecting the right partner ensuring maximum profitability.

• Preparing comparison reports and technical & commercial evaluation on receipt of quotations against the RFQ’s sent to the vendors.

• Liaising with vendors for goods availability, competitive pricing, delivery terms and payments.

• Obtaining authorization on projects & Generating LPO’s through Centralized ERP Oracle Automated System. 

• Coordinating with vendors/logistics /customs for the shipments to delivered and cleared and ensuring project supplies are sufficed.

• Managing the fit-out works and execution of the projects as and when required which includes government and other related approvals & project completion certificates.

• Track the status of PO’s, contracts and orders issued to the vendors.

Calculate costs of orders and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts as per the budget tagged to respective departments.

Processing the invoices received from the vendors against the PO’s issued after getting all the required approvals and creating GRN in Oracle Automated system and submitting it to finance.

• Vendor Performance Management.


Required Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledge of customer service practices

• Project management experience

• Able to prepare comprehensive budgets

• Good exposure to contract Management

• Results oriented with a constant drive to overachieve

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Confident personality with an assertive communication style.

• Must maintain the highest level of professional outlook including business attires

• Team player with the desire and willingness to work with others to achieve objectives.

• Shares responsibilities with the team to enhance participation and commitment.

• Problem Solving: Considers all options, weighs up with the advantages and disadvantages; approaches problem solving in a logical manner
